Terms and conditions

1. Purpose

These terms and conditions govern the use of the Kwat platform, a marketplace connecting customers and service providers in Cameroon. By creating an account, you fully accept these terms.

2. Registration and accounts

Registration is free and open to any adult. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. Kwat reserves the right to suspend any account in case of fraud or breach of these terms.

3. Role of the platform

Kwat acts as a technical intermediary between customers and providers. The service contract is concluded directly between the customer and the provider. The platform verifies registered companies but cannot be held responsible for the quality of the services performed.

4. Orders and payments

Payments are made online through the available methods (Mobile Money, bank card, PayPal). Funds are held securely and transferred to the provider after completion of the service, minus the platform's commission.

5. Cancellations and refunds

The customer may cancel any order free of charge before the service has started. In case of dispute, Kwat' customer service steps in to find an amicable resolution, which may include a partial or full refund.

6. Customer reviews

Only customers who have actually ordered a service can leave a review. Fraudulent, abusive or defamatory reviews are removed and may lead to account suspension.

7. Provider responsibilities

The provider agrees to describe their services accurately, honor accepted orders, respect displayed prices and comply with Cameroonian legislation applicable to their activity.

8. Intellectual property

All elements of the platform (brand, logo, design, texts) are protected. Any reproduction without authorization is prohibited. User-published content remains their property, but users grant Kwat a display license on the platform.

9. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Cameroonian law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Douala after an attempt at amicable resolution.
